Encinitas man had history of DUI in San Diego County
This past Sunday, December 20, 2015, there was a fatal crash in north county on the 5 freeway after a police and boarder patrol chase that originated at the US/Mexico boarder. Apparently, this individual decided to bust a U turn right at the Tijuana boarder crossing. He then proceeded to travel against traffic at speeds up to 100mph. Sadly the chase ended after the driver slammed into another vehicle, killing both occupants and himself. Although toxicology reports are still pending, this individual has a long record of DUI arrests and appearances in Vista and San Diego courts.
