Local San Diego Worker Fraud Case
Married couple recently indicted on a $7 Million dollar insurance fraud, worker fraud, and tax evasion regarding their janitorial company which services many San Diego and Southern California Hotels. The San Diego district attorney has even stated that it’s the biggest insurance fraud case in San Diego history. This couple had basically been hiding the existence of nearly 800 employees so they could avoid paying workers comp insurance rate and payroll taxes. When employee’s were hurt on the job, they were often threatened or even fired from one of the many San Diego hotels like, Hotel Del Coronado, Loews Coronado, La Costa Resort and Spa, the Grand Del Mar, L’Auberge Del Mar, The Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Hilton and Hyatt hotel chains.
